THE UNAWARE PHASE
In the Unaware Phase, a leader in the workspace may achieve a certain level of success due to hard work, the need for financial independence, or the desire to meet needs and wants. However, they have no connection to their personal life’s purpose. They are completely unaware of how to find and connect their purpose with their job and position as a leader. As a result, they consistently experience burnout, high levels of dissatisfaction, and push through the ranks in their career solely to meet increasing needs, wants, and responsibilities. They have not been able to express their real identity through their work and have not been able to lead from a place of purpose simply because they do not know what that purpose is.
THE NOISE PHASE
In the Noise Phase, a leader in the workspace has some understanding of what their purpose could be, but their mind is cluttered with numerous responsibilities. They struggle to organize their thoughts and pinpoint the possibilities of their purpose. Although they now have a sense of purpose with many ideas, they are unsure which ones will work because they haven't had the opportunity to explore these ideas fully. This results in a lack of clarity and direction. They have not mastered the ability to channel the energy they put into their work towards merging it with their personal purpose. The multitude of ideas creates noise, leaving them confused about how to align their workplace role with their personal purpose.
THE EXPLORATION PHASE
In the Exploration Phase, a leader in the workplace gains clarity about their life’s purpose and its connection to their work. They begin exploring and testing the refined ideas they have developed after decluttering their minds. Recognizing the season they are in, they stretch themselves to build the capacity to manage their roles at a higher level, grounded in purpose-driven leadership. Instead of settling on just one or two ideas, they conduct research, test their concepts, gather teams, build relationships, and find the courage to overcome various challenges, particularly at work. This phase might seem unfocused and could last longer than expected, but it is crucial for identifying the right path forward.
THE FOCUS PHASE
In the Focus/Zoom-in Phase, a leader in the workplace has developed a balanced and robust understanding of their purpose and how it relates to their role and position. They concentrate on the important matters related to their purpose, guided by the results of their research and tests. They create alignments between their life’s purpose and their work, harnessing the willpower to lead from a place of purpose. This alignment promises fulfilment and meaningful results. At this phase, the leader builds sustainable systems, integrating their purpose with their work. They engage in focused, deep work to establish and build upon a solid foundation of purpose fulfilment, transcending mere career advancement and social status.
THE LEGACY PHASE
In the Execution/Legacy Phase, the leader in the workplace begins to leverage the relationships, partnerships, alliances, and experiences they have built over time to create a lasting legacy. They solidify and expand the systems they have established, replicating these systems in other areas of their lives. In this phase, the leader meaningfully invests in people and the next generation through books, research works, papers, conferences, and mentorship. They fully recognize and manage their multi-influential flows to unify their life’s purpose with their work and position as a leader. This integration transcends into the organizations they lead, ensuring their legacy has a lasting impact.
